A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

I decided to take Casanova for a walk today when the rain let up so I could have some mommy time to myself. The kiddo had totally had a meltdown at the library during storytime so I needed to just walk and refresh myself. So off through the neighborhood the pup and I went with camera in hand. I wanted cold weather and oh boy did I get it because it is the wet rain cold mixed with regular cold weather and when I breath it looks like I'm a smoke breathe dragon :) Needless to say I am one happy lady. I'm one of those interesting people that prefer the overcast rainy days to the sunny and clear days any day of the week.
But back to why I am writing this post. While Casanova and I were out being smoke breathing dragons I took a lot of photos and thought I would share my favorite ones with all of you. Let me just that my puppy is a photo ham and likes to pose for the camera too.

Love trees that have orange leaves. Lets me know that Fall/Autumn is definitely here.
Never edited this one. This is just how my camera picked up all of the colors.
Absolutely love all of the raindrops.
An odd yet pretty flower.
Mr. Casanova enjoyed smelling all of the new smells that came with the rain.
More raindrops.  It's amazing how they can cling to hings for a long period of time.

Absolutely gorgeous I think. I always love images of stairways and pathways.

I hope you enjoyed these as much as I do. Once I got home I felt refreshed and my headache had gone away. Sometimes it is just nice to talk awake with the dog alone and enjoy the sights and sounds of the neighborhood or wherever. Think I need to do this more often. Which one is your favorite?
Xo, Kimberly

    1. Me too. To me cold weather has such wonderful smells. I think he had fun sniffing all of the new smells that he's never smelled before. Thanks :) I couldn't figure out what to name him and Casanove popped into my head since he loved the ladies and they loved him too. lol

  3. I love all the pictures but the one with Casanova in the leaves is super cute. I love Fall because of all the changing colors.

    1. The changing colors is a wonderful thing. It would be great if we had more trees that did that here instead of palm trees and other ones that don't change. I get excited when I find ones that do.

    1. Awww that's sad but then you do get the joy of stomping through them and making them go crunch crunch. I've always loved that. Makes me feel like a little kid again.

  7. I like blustery days, too. My favorite trips to the zoo are on these types of days because there are no crowds and the animals are fairly active because it's not so hot.
