Yesterday was a do nothing day but turned into a "let's go on an outing" kind of day which ended up taking us to a car show. Back in April I shared this post about a car show and festival that we had attended but this car show made that one look like nothing. There were so many cars at this show that it had to of been a mile long but also had cars branched off to the sides and we even spent the first half of checking out the cars being bombarded by rather large rain drops.

So many different types of beautiful cars were there that it was like a classic car heaven. My mom saw the exact type of car she had when she was younger (Roadrunner) and I saw many of my dream car (Bel Air) yet no one had a version of my very first car which was a '68 Ford Galaxie 500. She was a beauty and a tank of a car and I would love to see one all cleaned up and beautified.

I loved how some of the car owners spookified their car since Halloween is just around the corner. It added a little pizazz to their car, made it stand out amongst the others and worked really well with the cars that looked like they would be from the Munsters or Addams Family tv shows. My son loved the old firetrucks which were pretty cool looking and the one that was turned into a pizza vendor reminded me of Red from the Cars movies. All in all it was nice to enjoy a family outing that also involved some really cool cars.

  1. That looks so fun... and I don't know a thing about cars. I love a theme and just celebrating everything we can. Life can be rough, so having a little "spooky" fun is great. Such a wonderful and varied collection. Wish we had something like that around me - seems like a relaxed and entertaining day:)

  2. I don't know anything about cars either but I love how pretty some of them are. It's too bad that you don't have something like this near you as it can be a fun outing. It would be even more fun if we could enjoy the food vendors but with my sons nut allergy and my shellfish allergy it's pretty much impossible but otherwise it's a fun time.
