SYNOPSIS:
From Disney comes two-time Oscar® winner Brad Bird’s riveting, mystery adventure “Tomorrowland,” starring Academy Award® winner George Clooney. Bound by a shared destiny, former boy-genius Frank (Clooney), jaded by disillusionment, and Casey (Britt Robertson), a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity, embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space known only as “Tomorrowland.” What they must do there changes the world—and them—forever.

Featuring a screenplay by “Lost” writer and co-creator Damon Lindelof and Brad Bird, from a story by Lindelof & Bird & Jeff Jensen, “Tomorrowland” promises to take audiences on a thrill ride of nonstop adventures through new dimensions that have only been dreamed of.

After seeing the preview for this movie I was super excited to take my son and see it but afterwards I felt kind of jipped. Now don't get me wrong, the movie is cute and there are some laughable moments but after watching the trailer I was expecting more and didn't feel as if I received it.

From the very beginning of the movie I felt as if it was something completely different other than what the trailer had put out there. Based solely on the trailer I was expecting the movie to be based on something completely different other than what the main premise of it is. Not to mention that it felt like it was dragging on for forever. It wasn't a movie where I was completely engrossed and forgetting about time but instead was one where I was feeling time drag on and wondering when it would be over. My son even kept asking me when it would be over and if we could go home. He's 5 so this may not be an exciting movie for younger viewers as he wanted to go home, kept fidgeting and never talked about after we left the theater.

The computer graphics of the movie were pretty amazing and well done. Possibly the best part of it. If there had actually been more scenes of Tomorrowland instead of so much back story and filler parts it might have been pretty cool in 3D with all of the robots and flying things and such.

There were a couple of cameos that were pretty cool and had me going "Hey that's so and so from yada yada" which I always enjoy in a movie. George Clooney did a great job at being a cranky old man so kudos to him. But all in all I think it was a cute moving that took a long time to get the story moving and left me feeling disappointed and unfulfilled. And I would only want a sequel to it if it had more of what I wanted in it, Tomorrowland.

If you've seen it I would love to know what you thought about it in the comments section below.
