Meet the Blogger Behind: Bel Around The World

Good morning Wednesday! Who's ready to meet Isabel from Bel Around The World? At only 22 years old she has an amazing blog filled with all of her travels from around the world along with traveling tips. You could definitely get lost reading her blog looking at the the many pictures and being transported from your seat to where she has been.

1.       What or who inspired you to create your blog?
My experience being in 16 countries, 55 cities in Europe for 6 months last year! I had so many stories to share and learned so much being on the road that I wanted a platform to chronicle them.

2.       What is your #1 favorite thing about blogging and why?
Telling stories! Reliving my adventures and sharing tips and tricks being on the road.

3.       What main topics do you blog about?
Travel, particularly for students and budget travellers. I provide first-hand accounts of places I've been to, offer practical travel tips to young or new travellers, and travel inspiration to those lusting for adventure.

4.       When you’re not blogging, what do you enjoy doing?
I'm into fitness. I'm a personal instructor, and I do yoga and rock climb when I have spare time apart from juggling school, part time work, freelancing and this blog!

5.       What has been your favorite place to visit and explore?
Being born and bred a city girl, I love exploring anything outside of urbanization.
I enjoyed trekking the green plains of England.
Or being transported to the Flintstones era in Eze.
Immersing in the serenity and postcard-perfect views of Salzburg, Bavaria, Hallstatt and snowcapped mountains in Switzerland were also magical experiences.
Not to forget, witnessing the sky light up with hot air balloons in Turkey.
There were countless of times my breath was taken away by these beautiful moments that it is impossible to just share a single favourite place!

6.       Do you blog as a hobby or is it your job?
Hobby! (Hopefully as a job in the future...)

7.       Where would you like to take your blog in 5 years?
I hope that in time to come, my blog would be a credible and preferred source for independent millennial travelers, a blog that delivers value-added and engaging content for my readers. :)

8.       What has been the hardest thing that you’ve encountered since you began blogging?
Retaining readership, coming up with catchy topics. Certainly something that I'm constantly improving and learning as I go!

9.       From your experience, what’s one tip that you would give to a new blogger?
Never underestimate the power of visuals, and maintaining a professional and consistent layout. Oops, that's two.

10.   What is something about you or that you that makes you unique?
Self-funding all my expenses. Coming from an average-to-do family, we could never afford extravagant travel. I started being financially independent since 18, sometimes juggling multiple jobs at one time whilst studying, and still making the time to engage in my favourite activities. So I guess what makes me unique is the ability to empathize with those who fervently wish to travel but  are limited by funds, time, or commitments, and to give hope to these people through my travel stories!

11.   What is the one blog post that you are the most proud of hitting the publish button on?
10 Easy Tips for New Travellers - my most popular one thus far!

12.   What is your favorite season and the one thing that you look forward to during it each year?
Coming from a tropical country that only has one season, I have been missing out on seasons. I've been to Europe in winter and spring, but I've never experienced autumn! Fall colours are my favourite and I hope to see it one day!

13.   Is there anything else that you would like to share about yourself, your life or your blog?
I'm always elated to hear from readers telling me that they enjoyed reading my posts, or have been inspired by it. So if I have made an impact on you in any (littlest) way, be sure to drop a comment! :)

Thank you Isabel for sharing some things about you and your blog and letting us get to know you.

You can keep up to date with Isabel by following her on: TwitterFacebookInstagram and of course her blog.
