Own It: The Power of of Women at Work by Sallie Krawcheck

I received this book "Own It: The Power of of Women at Work" by Sallie Krawcheck free of charge and for review purposes. and as a female who works in a male dominated work place myself, I found this book rather relatable. It was a bit hard to get into I will admit as it is a bit cut and dry and I mostly tend to read fiction stories. But the more I read the more I found myself shaking my head in agreement with the writer and knowing many of the things that she was talking about.

Her writing in this book is very bold and straight forward with no sugar coating and a lot of telling it like it is. Currently I work in a construction office as the only female and I have definitely found that in this type of work environment it is rather different than many others that I have worked in before. Just like the real accounts that the author wrote about of her journey in the world of finance and the encounters that she was met with.

If you enjoy more realistic books and ones that discuss how to empower women especially in the workforce than give this a read.
